Narcotics without Regular Laxatives

Your patient has an active order for regularly scheduled {drug 1} and does not have an active order for a regular dose of laxative.

Recommend - Order laxative protocol:

1. Senokot tablets 2 tablets po qhs and 2 tablets po bid prn. Tablets may be crushed prn.
2. Lactulose 15 ml po bid prn. Liquid may be thickened prn.
3. Bisacodyl rectal suppository p.r. once daily prn
4. Fleet Enema p.r. once daily prn
5. Call MD if no result after Fleet Enema.
